Advantech Expands European Service Center in Eindhoven
High-tech building will enlarge production, logistics and office facilities, housing nearly 150 employees
For more than fifteen years, Advantech has been operating in the Brabant region in the Netherlands. In 2018, the company will be expanding its European Service Center in Eindhoven. Due to continuous growth of the European market, Advantech was able to enlarge both production and logistic in the dynamic tech environment of Eindhoven. This location choice makes sense, as Eindhoven aims to research, develop and realize high-end smart city and smart society innovations.
The expansion of the company will enlarge production, logistics and office facilities. Next to housing nearly 150 employees, the high-tech building will also serve as a demo site, displaying the latest of its service IoT and Industry 4.0 applications. It will be fitted with the latest smart technology innovations: from high-tech building automation to the possibility for customers to observe the solutions in person.
“This ambitious expansion of Eindhoven Service Center will help support our growth target of €350M revenue in year 2025,” says Jeff Shih, VP of Advantech Global Services. “Most importantly, the new Intelligent Building System and Intelligent Factory System we’re creating here will provide a compelling real-world demonstration to customers of the value of our extensive range of smart technologies.”
Eelko Brinkhoff, Director BOM Foreign Investments and Trade adds: “We are very happy to see Advantech expanding their presence in Brabant. We supported them when setting up their first presence in the region, and we are proud to have supported the company again during this expansion. We believe that the presence of Advantech in the region of Eindhoven will not only create new employment, but it can also create new opportunities in smart technology innovations.”
The official opening of the Advantech Europe Service Centre in Eindhoven will take place on 24 January 2018.
